Antecedentes y
raza, colonialismo externo, colonialismo interno y raza y clase.
dos. Aquellos que pretendían la destrucción de Bolivia y un secesionismo local;
generalidad ideal Tawantinsuyu o Abya Yala.

Fundamental differences between the old
indianismo and (neo) indianismo
By: Pablo Velásquez Mamani[1]
Background and variants of
Katarismo indianismo
On August 25, 2019 died one of
the forgers of Katarismo, Genaro Flores, next to him are leaving this life many
representatives of indianismo and historical Katarismo as Luciano Tapia, Marco
Marin, Samuel Coronel.
This affair of existence has
questioned whether the indianismo and Katarismo have achieved renewed ideas and
characters. This article aims to answer this question.
While it is true that the
indianismo and Katarismo got noticed in some intellectual and social circles,
still it fails to understand its long-term intention, and usually empties into
fanciful interpretations. Therefore, it is confused between old indianismo and
(neo) indianismo. That is, there is a new generation of indianistas-kataristas
both characters and ideas.
Here for lack of space, we
will not take their formative historical process, but the central ideas posed.
The new generation of
indianismo-Katarismo, not only that it has differentiated itself from its old
version without denying it, but he has criticized and has proposed other
ideological horizons.
These are indianismo-Katarismo
and Aymara nationalism, referred to herein as the (neo) indianismo.
Of the 3 aspects, Aymara
nationalism is the newest policy
However, there are also two
other varieties of speech in contemporary indianismo but did not propose
anything new, but its defenders are of a new generation. There can be
identified three groups. It is worth mentioning for further historical
analysis.
The former have followed the
line of indianista conservatism and archaic interpretation. Choose plain
repetition of the "sacred words" true indianistas "old.
Second, they assumed the
characteristics of the "popular" and "negative" as a
potential Indian. "Dirty", "ignorant", "lacking
manners", etc .: "the rough" becomes your unique niche. And
prejudice about the Indian, now its characteristics also become positive.
Third, they are those who live
the indianista speech, but they deny. All his speeches are broadcast from
indianismo in different spaces. There is talk of a current that detests because
it has some economic or social revenue. Ironically, hear presentations on the
indianismo and history of his detractors.
fundamental differences
You can set a large list of
these differences between classical and neo-indianismo indianismo. Only one
difference could be developed and widely discussed. Here is a brief summary,
unable to exhaust the subject.
Context and reference
The first group refers to
differences emission context speech.
The classic indianismo
(perhaps especially Katarismo) is emitted from the rural world and a local
perspective: the Indian-peasant. Instead, the neo-indianismo seeks a global and
cosmopolitan perspective and from the urban world: "Modern Aymara"
the.
On the other hand, the old
indianistas political motive to send their local experience. Norm is almost
heard personal testimonies about the suffering of colonization and racism. The
neo-indianismo seeks its explanation not only experience, but structural causes.
Explanation comes from its formal and global education. Therefore, the first
social circle, is the university and the academy, not the street or the market.
It is no longer about the dispute over the street, but intellectual.
Vision and goal
Conventionally the old
indianismo evokes liberation and political purpose, but without understanding
and give its meaning. The neo-indianismo release follows broad (meaning). This
affects the intended aspiration.
The first indianismo has a
popular vision, the people, the masses, the majority. Although you do not
despise the new indianismo prefer an elitist, selective, aristocratic vision.
The interpretation of the
structural problem formerly used to focus on the race, external colonialism and
internal colonialism, race and class. Without breaking with these precepts, the
interpretative framework of neo-indianismo is guided by the "race-
nation" complejizándola with new elements, the precariat, the informal
economy, the emerging bourgeoisie Aymara Aymara and the middle class.
Another important issue is the
consideration of power. The mission longeva version had come to power by force
of arms or by democratic means. The new indianistas also pursue the dispute,
exercise and reproduction of power.
geo- political
The political objective of the
forerunners of indianismo was made from the theory of two Bolivias, and
although the theory remains valid, the purposes were divided into two. Those
seeking the destruction of Bolivia and a local secessionism; and seeking the
unity of the two Bolivias into one.
Instead, the neo indianismo,
in line with the liberal Katarismo, seeks the "appropriation and
taxation" in Bolivia for the construction of Aymara state. Ergo, solve the
great political-social-economic structural problem of national identity.
Meanwhile, the content of the
nation and the state, previously only the reproduction of cultural elements is
sought. The neo-indianismo seeks and supports the creation of new national
cultural production. The look is in the "present and future", without
denying the interpretation of "past-present".
political subject
Before indianismo, he had as
theoretical and concrete Indian subject. But now the neo-indianismo refers to
Aymara. Primacy of Aymara state, not therefore the ideal generality Tawantinsuyu
or Abya Yala.
This new subject does not seek
recognition claim, but the "dispute" of power by the Aymara. This
power is being built from two sources: the qamiris and intellectuals.
But for now these two groups
are us together, Aymara nationalism seeking its unity to form the Aymara state.
Another distinguishing feature
is the field of struggle for power. Once he was seen as the only alternative,
in democracy, formation of a political party. Now the new indianista wants a
move broadly. Space fight is multilateral: intellectual, moral, political,
aesthetic, economic, etc.
In this brief summary, all
concepts and new proposals are complex, however, answer the question posed at
the beginning. If there is a neo-indianismo, different from the initial indianismo;
and most importantly, it interprets and manages a necessary "rebirth and
enlightenment" Aymara.
